How fast does it grow back after forestry mulching?
It depends on the species and the season. Mulching removes the top growth and the chip layer slows regrowth for a while, but it does not kill root systems the way stump removal does. For ground you want kept open, expect to revisit it.
Is forestry mulching cheaper than land clearing?
On the ground it suits, yes. It is a single-machine operation with no burn pile and no haul-off, which is why it is quicker and cheaper than full clearing. It does not replace clearing where stumps have to come out for construction.
Do I need a burn permit for forestry mulching?
No. Nothing is burned. The brush is ground to chip where it stands and the chip is left on the ground.
