A house pad on a slope is a cut-and-fill problem with a compaction requirement. Get the fill wrong and the structure finds out later.
We cut into the bank rather than building out over fill wherever the site allows it, compact in lifts, and handle the water coming off the ground above before it reaches the pad.

Fill placed and compacted in layers, not dumped and levelled.
